how dare you have an Alfa badge as your avatar and consider such a travesty of a car. :)

The SE-R is a lot of fun, although as a very cheap upgrade, swap in the front anti-sway bar from the standard car. It'll make it a /lot/ more tail-happy.

Source: My first car was a B13 XE sedan with the SE-R wheels, suspension and the standard XE front bar. Fun car.

Does he have any more pictures or just the one with the hood open? lol

As much as I'd love an Alfa, I don't think it would be budget-friendly... I might just have to change my avatar:(

Great cars. If you blow the engine, just grab another from an Infiniti G20. Same thing.

I loved my B13. A lot.

The only reason I sold her was to buy a turbo, RWD wagon. Incidentally, I also regret selling that wagon, and my RX-7. Those are the only three cars I've ever regretted selling. YMMV.

I was behind one of these today and wa thinking that it looked like a decent car. Much better than a present gen sentra.

Unfortunately, no. I was talking to the seller earlier though, and he swore the only thing wrong was the passenger front wheel bearing...

Never knew that had an SR20, I'll keep that in mind if I need parts!

you better! Actually they can be reliable, but still hungry for your cash. I am thousands deep on my 2 the past couple years. I dont even want to get into my 2 peugeot's that now need head gaskets.

Someone down the street from me has a Milano, but I have no idea about the condition of it.

If the price was right, though...

I'd go JDM SR20VE, if swapping because VTEC, yo.

No, seriously, the VE has Nissan's NEO VVL system, which is essentially their VTEC clone.

Missed your earlier post. This would certainly be an awesome first car. Just make sure to call Alex him his names.

I have one and it is great. It was dead cheap and low miles. Check the timing belt on it if you do look at it. That is really the thing that will kill it quick. You can pop one of the spark plug looms out of the t-belt covers and look in that way real quick. Cracked, run, if nice and fresh, drive it

Must dispose of fart can.

Friend of mine had one in the 90s. Only heard good things about it. I remember Car & Driver were massive fans back when it was new.

That's the first thing to go. The seller also said he had matching sets of both wheels, and I'd be happy with either as a full set.

In all seriousness, the list of hilariously-fun cars I've owned goes like this:

1: Fiat Spider

2: B13 Sentra

3: Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon (Lots of boost)

4: RX-7

5: Mazda3

1175: Volvo S60

B13!!!???! Man, you are really going to pass up on the opportunity to rock the 3 wheeler . I mean that thing is so pimp all the ladies will walk over to you like "Take me for a ride, I wanna flip this bitch with you"!

It was a tough choice, but the Sentra barely edged out the Robin

I've heard the SE-R is one of the better-handling FWD cars, I can't wait to test drive it!

Keep the stock 14s. They really do fit the lines of the car well.

Also, for inspiration, a pic of my old B13.

That is seriously a great choice! It covers all what you need, an and they will last literally forever. That Sentra is still sold in Mexico new as the Tsuru.

these are awesome cars!

weirdly, after 20 years, Nissan has managed to make the SE-R slower than it was back then...

Slower, heavier, and uglier. But that could be said for a lot of cars...

I know you posted this months ago... BEWARE THE ELECTRICAL... the B13 is an amazing car, but the engineers were still riding the 80's coke wave when they designed the electrical... if you hand brake light stays on... start checking everything in the charging system now... i have been searching for the dreaded "bulb check relay" for a week and a half and still cant find it.

Kinja'd!!! TheJWT > Glitch0x6

Kinja'd!!!0

Yeah, it's a bit late to back out of the deal now:)

http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/1993-nissan-se…

I've had a few problems with the electrical so far, mostly just various lights not working. Thanks for the heads up though! I'm guessing you've got one too?

Kinja'd!!!0

Yeah man, 91 with an SR-20DE(t) [(t) because it was a DET but the turbo blew up and the previous owner hacked out the turbo and intercooler... dumbass] but yeah i was literally working on it over lunch. There is a relay somewhere in the car called a "bulb check relay" and it can cause worlds of problems. I still havent found it, but goddammit i know its there. It can cause your battery to fail, the volt reg in the alt to fail, the tach to fail, and you break/reverse lights to fail... and it tends to all happen at once... it also somehow affects the your idle control and can mess with your MAF sensors. Not sure how yet, but I can sketch you the wire diagrams from memory if you like...

Hmm, mine has idling problems and the reverse light is out, I'll have to look into that. Let me know if you find the problem!

I had it down in Houston this weekend at my buddy's shop. We tore it apart and searched everywhere. We couldn't find the issue, then my fuel pump went out for the third time and I decided to just sell it off for parts... It was a cool little car but unfortunately the "mechanic" who had it before me did more damage than it was worth.

Kinja'd!!! TheJWT > Glitch0x6
10/06/2014 at 15:00

Kinja'd!!!0

Sorry about that, dude:( Do you sell it to a junkyard or are you parting it out yourself?

Kinja'd!!! Glitch0x6 > TheJWT
10/06/2014 at 15:52

Kinja'd!!!0

I'm going to post it up on craigslist. The engine in it is still good, tho the oil pan gasket has a slight leak, and I can't bring myself to just let that engine get crushed (also I figured I could recoup some of the money I spent on it that way)

Kinja'd!!! TheJWT > Glitch0x6
10/06/2014 at 16:27

Kinja'd!!!0

Do you have the original power steering system? I unfortunately don't have the money for a new engine, but one of the power steering lines is cut (I'm sure that's not the only problem though)

Kinja'd!!! Glitch0x6 > TheJWT
10/07/2014 at 09:44

Kinja'd!!!1

I do, but unfortunately it's in Houston and I live about 90 miles north... but I'll tell you what, if it doesn't sell in 2 weeks, then I'll head back down there and strip the parts out and let you know what I have.
